Ottawa Muslim Community Services (OMCS) held a soft launch on March 10, 2020 that was attended by representatives from Muslim and non-Muslim community organizations.
On March 13, COVID-19 found its way to Ottawa-Gatineau and the Muslim community knew it had to find a way to help.
Given the recent information coming in daily for COVID-19, United Muslim Organizations of Ottawa Gatineau (UMO-OG) is committed to helping anyone in need of assistance.

Dear Muslim community members of Ottawa-Gatineau,
The Council of Imams of Ottawa-Gatineau is closely monitoring local, national and international developments regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
Starting in 2019, Ottawa's annual Muslim Family Conference, the I.LEAD Conference, launched iLEADx, a speech and talent competition for local Muslim youth by local Muslim youth, organized in a style similar to TEDx Talks.
The I.LEAD Conference, Ottawa's Annual Muslim Family Conference, is returning for another year running on March 21, 2020.
Vigils and memorial services are being held today in Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax to mourn the loss of Iranians and Canadians killed in the crash of an Ukrainian airplane in Iran earlier this week.
